Nort brings over 30 years experience-as both a manager and a consultant-to his work.    He co-founded Deep Customer Connections, Inc. (DCC) to help property and casualty carriers get better business results by making it easier for their agents to do business with them.    His consulting focuses on measuring ease of doing business (EDB) performance and working with clients to design and implement improvements in their EDB performance.    He co-authored DCC's EDB Survey, a national benchmark of the industry's EDB performance.    Nort has extensive experience with leaders and teams at all levels in operations improvement, leading and managing change, decision making, and team and individual development.

Nort's clients include West Bend Mutual, Hanover, Kemper Auto and Home Group, Secura, Acadia, State Auto, Foremost, Key Risk, and MMG.

Prior to starting DCC, Nort served in a variety of industries, including financial services, biotech, manufacturing, high tech, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products.   He held management positions at Colt Industries (Fairbanks Weighing Division), Anheuser-Busch Companies, and ComputerVision Corporation.   He began his consulting work with Rath & Strong, Inc. and Situation Management Systems, Inc.

Nort's articles have appeared in Insurance Journal, The Standard, Property and Casualty Insurance, and The Association for Quality and Participation.   He is the author of "Building Process Improvement Teams: A Basic Guide to Team Development".

Nort earned an undergraduate degree in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering and a Master's degree in Education, both from the University of Illinois.
